The four cost components

1. The station itself. Range €600–€2,500 for AC stations, depending on brand, power, and smart functions. €600 is a basic station without an app, €2,500 is a top model with an app, RFID, monitoring, and PV integration.

2. The installation. €400–€1,200, depending on the distance between the meter cupboard and the station, type of wall mounting (pedestal or wall charger), and complexity of the cable run (digging or not, drill-throughs).

3. Potential meter cupboard modifications. €200–€1,500. Adding a residual current circuit breaker is inexpensive. Upgrading a group or switching from single-phase to three-phase can cost up to €1,500 or more (and must be done via grid operator Fluvius or ORES, with a lead time of 4–8 weeks).
