We work with five brands: Hager, Zaptec, Alpitronic, Smappee and Alfen. Not out of loyalty to one supplier, but because no single brand is the best choice in every situation.
Our services run on almost all devices, including existing infrastructure. So the brand choice follows your situation, not the other way around.
Which brand for which situation?
Five brands compared
Hager (Germany)
- Strong: solid AC charger from a German specialist in electrical installations. The witty plus charges up to 22 kW, has an MID-certified meter, RFID and OCPP, and supports dynamic load management and charging on solar surplus. Setup and follow-up run through the Hager Charge app.
- Watch out: not every witty version has an MID meter. For split billing with the employer, choose the witty plus.
Zaptec (Norway)
- Strong: built to run many charging points on one supply cable, with dynamic load balancing and phase balancing. Scales from 1 to more than 1,000 charging points. The most installed charger in Norway and Sweden.
- Watch out: the Zaptec Pro is designed for shared car parks. For a single home, the Zaptec Go 2 is the logical choice.
Alpitronic (Italy)
- Strong: DC fast chargers from 50 kW to 400 kW, each for 2 cars at once, with modularly expandable power. The compact HYC50 mounts on the wall.
- Watch out: DC only. A fast charger requires a strong grid connection and a larger investment.
Smappee (Belgium)
- Strong: AC charger up to 22 kW with strong energy management: charging on solar surplus, dynamic load balancing, control based on dynamic tariffs and real-time monitoring through app and dashboard. Made and assembled in Belgium.
- Watch out: solar charging and load balancing require a P1 module or Smart Kit.
Alfen (Netherlands)
- Strong: robust chargers for intensive use with many different users. The Eve Double Pro-line has two sockets up to 22 kW, an MID meter, RFID and OCPP, and up to 50 stations work together in one Smart Charging Network.
- Watch out: a premium device. For a simple home installation, it is often more than needed.
What honest advice looks like
An installer who recommends one brand for every situation without analysis is selling commission, not a solution.
Always ask: why this brand and not another, for my specific situation? The answer must address your use case, not generic product benefits.
Why open standards matter in that choice: OCPP and interoperability. For the home: choosing a home charger. For a co-ownership: the decision process in a co-ownership.
Hardware-independent, one platform
Whichever brand you choose: Certipower installs, measures, manages and bills everything through one platform, with the same billing and support.
An independent brand choice for your project?
We map your requirements and give you a well-founded proposal.
- Analysis of your use case and charging needs
- Brand choice based on arguments, not preference
- A proposal with the investment in euros
